Ethereal Carbon is involved in research, development and manufacturing of carbon fiber and other lightweight composite products, and working towards improving efficiency by incorporating composite materials in various products and industries, thereby accelerating the growth, demand and supply of them.
As the world is moving towards a green and sustainable model, the need for materials with better properties and lower carbon footprint is of utmost importance and is therefore in increasing demand. Most of the large scale industries are rushing to replace their use of traditionally mined materials that have very high carbon footprint. Carbon fiber is one of those materials that has been chosen by most as their key future material due to it’s highly attractive properties.
Carbon fiber products can be made to be multiple times stronger than their steel and aluminium counterparts while remaining extremely lightweight in comparison. These properties allowed aerospace industry to be an early adopter of carbon fiber. High cost of carbon fiber was one of the reasons several other industries couldn’t adopt it but now with the falling prices of carbon fiber raw materials many industries are rushing to incorporate it to their products.

Marine products like boats, ships, and submarines use carbon fiber composites due to their excellent strength and stiffness coupled with low density and are used in applications where high strength and stiffness are critical requirements, such as offshore wind turbine blades, boat hulls, ship frames, and oceangoing oil rigs.

Carbon fiber composites are used by medical industry for three major applications; orthopaedic prostheses, dental implants, and spinal discs. The medical industry has seen a steady increase in products manufactured from carbon fiber composites and demand is expected to rise over the coming years due to increased research into developing innovative treatments for various diseases and conditions.

Carbon fiber composites plays a significant role within the manufacturing process as inspection tools and machine parts can be lightened with carbon fiber making them easier to handle and move. Industries using robotics and other automated systems are replacing metal end effectors with carbon fiber composite ones as these allow the automation to move faster and more precisely, lift heavier parts, and reduce the motor load on the equipment.
